Why exports are hard to re-import

HubSpot gives you spreadsheet files — and that is where the trouble starts. Export files are made for keeping, not for loading into the next system: column names that match nothing there, linked records squashed into one cell, dates in mixed formats.
What to do with the export
Section titled “What to do with the export”You build the product the data is moving into. Embed the Mildport wizard. You list the fields your product expects; the wizard matches the export’s columns onto them — renamed and translated headers included — and checks every row before anything is written.
